The Ten Thousand Villages fair trade event is back in 100 Mile House
Volunteer-Coordinator of the sale Laura Baerg says it allows locals to purchase artisan goods and help people in developing countries at the same time:
“Ten Thousand Villages Fair Trade Sale is a non-profit. All the products are made by artisans all around the world, and it gives them an opportunity to earn an income and provide for their families.”
Ten Thousand Villages is open until eight tonight and will continue for four more days before closing its doors Sunday evening for another year.
