Defendant in Women’s Centre Assault Appears Before Court in 100 Mile House

A 34 year old 100 Mile House man made his first appearance before a judge for charges stemming from an August incident at the Women’s Centre

Whilst under the influence of alcohol, Leslie Silveira allegedly assaulted a women’s centre staff member and a female passerby before being taken into custody by police on August 27th of this year.

Silveira faces nine charges from the incident including two counts of assault, two counts of assaulting a peace officer, two counts of resisting arrest, and three counts of breach of understanding.
