Barkerville Brewing won two awards….a silver medal for its 52 Foot Stout in the Stout-Porter category and a gold medal for its White Gold in the Belgian-German Wheat category.
Nolan Foster, the Sales Manager at the Barkerville Brewing Company, describes their award-winning beer as being “very aromatic, kind of smells a bit of coriander and orange, has a hint of like stone fruit, something like nectarine or peach.”
He says “it is really palatable, has just a tiny bit of tartness at the end of your palate and its just a generally refreshing beer, great for a hot day or even a cool fall day.”
Foster says both are very prestigious awards within the industry.
He says there are now more than a hundred craft brewers in B.C.
