BC Wildfire Services has confirmed that there is a wildfire burning out of control near Mckay Creek, just 20 Kilometers south of Clinton.
Due to the extreme weather conditions, the fire spread quite quickly.
It is now estimated to be 5,000 hectares in size.
The situation is evolving and more updates are to come.
