For only the second time in over 100 years of history, a South Cariboo resident will be the president of the U-B-C-M
Al Richmond, C-R-D Chair and Area G Director, was chosen to follow in Ross Marks’ footsteps and serve a one year term as the leader of the U-B-C-M.
It’s an honour says Richmond, on occupying the position.
“To be handed the responsibility by your peers, to represent them on a provincial and national basis is an honour and a privilege and something not to be taken lightly.”
As president, it will be on Richmond to meet with representatives from the provincial government to discuss issues as they pertain to the Union of B-C Municipalities.
Something going on in the Cariboo you think people should know about?
