The observance of Orange Shirt Day will stretch into 100 Mile House this afternoon.
The South Cariboo event – aimed at recognizing the harm done by residential schools – will kick off at 1 p-m says Joan Sorley, organizer and CRD Area F director, who provides some details:
“We will be in the arena ball fields tomorrow at one o’clock and we will have a residential school survivor as our keynote speaker – Shirley Dick”
The third annual Orange Shirt day ceremonies took place earlier this morning with the laying of a wreath in Quesnel and the unveiling new monument feature in Williams Lake.
