NDP Critical of Legislative Session

The Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo riding is heating up ahead of October’s federal election with New Democrat Bill Sundhu taking aim at the conservative government’s legislative session

Sundhu questions whether the Tory’s interest lies in progress or politicking, but incumbent Cathy McLeod feels that their economic record speaks for itself:

“What’s happened is we’ve created 1.2 million net new jobs since the recession.

The lawyer from the Lake City disagrees on this point

That’s just not correct. It’s more misrepresentation by the Conservatives. The percentage of Canadians who have a job now, is as low as it was during the worst part of the recession.

The most recent polls suggest that there is just one percent separating the Conservatives and NDP, without even considering the impact that the resurgent Liberal party may have on the vote.

Something going on in the Cariboo you think people should know about?
