The South Cariboo may be getting a microbrewery for Christmas after a special session of 100 Mile and District council passed an amendment to add a definition for brewery under zoning bylaws.
There are still more steps to be taken says aspiring owner Kevin Grinyer, who points to a couple more paper hurdles that need to be cleared
Here Grinyer gives an estimate of the timeframe for when the brewery might be able to open.
The district’s definition would allow for a microbrewery producing up to fifteen thousand hectoliters but would not support expansion into a brewpub or lounge type establishment.
Something going on in the Cariboo you think people should know about?
