Mayor, M-L-A, and M-P alike were on hand last Saturday at the 100 Mile House Legion to present honours to seven South Cariboo residents for their roles with Canadian armed forces during WWII.
Cathy McLeod, the Member of Parliament for the riding, quoted the Prime Minister in presenting tokens of esteem to the veterans
The quote stuck with McLeod from when she was part of a Canadian envoy to the Netherlands to celebrate the anniversary of the country’s liberation and the role Canadian Forces played.
