Firebrand Arrested and Charged in Lac La Hache

Charges will be laid on a Lac La Hache resident who allegedly set a number of fires in and around a property on Timothy Lake Road that required attendance from fire services.

The fire fighters on scene report that the thirty four year old female continued to feed the fires and attempt new ones – even after being told to stop, necessitating police involvement and a subsequent arrest.

The situation could have easily gotten out of hand says RCMP Corporal Clint Lange, who applauds the Greeny Lake Fire Department for their diligence in responding to the incident.

Lange continues with details about the blaze:

Alcohol was determined to be a factor in the incident and the woman was released on a promise to appear in court on charges of mischief.
