The Cariboo’s talented young hockey stars are still in action as Provincials continue
Quesnel’s PeeWee Tier-3’s were eliminated yesterday in Terrace as they finished Round Robin with 1 win, 1 loss, and 2 ties – the same amount of points, but 1 less win than Tri-Port.
Also eliminated through tie-breaker was the Williams Lake Midget Tier-2 team, who ended their tournament on a winning note – taking down both Saanich and Kelowna yesterday in Trail.
And, if you’re detecting a theme… Quesnel’s Bantam Tier-3 squad was eliminated in the same manner despite an even record at 2-2.
In Castlegar, the Williams Lake Bantam Girls matched well against a tough Kelowna club, eventually falling 2-0.
The Bantam girls were eliminated in a sunrise match-up this morning by Richmond with the final score sitting at 11-0.
Quesnel’s Midget-Tier-3 Thunder have advanced to tonight’s finals in Dawson Creek after beating Sooke this morning 4-2 in the semi-finals.
Puck drop is at 8pm.
