The 33rd annual Ducks Unlimited Dinner and auction was held last weekend in 100 Mile House.
Ducks Unlimited supports wetland conservation in Canada and supports many local projects. Chris Nickless, with Ducks Unlimited, says that while the final figures aren’t yet in, the event was a sell out, and may have exceeded last years totals.
Ducks Unlimited supports many local wetland area projects including the 130 Mile wetlands, the 100 Mile House marsh, walker Valley, where they replaced over twenty aeries last year, and Succour Lake.
Nickless says that while where the money is distributed is decided by the headquarters in Winnipeg, the money stays local.
