Funding has been secured for upgrades to the admitting and triage areas of the 100 Mile House and District Hospital.
The funding, sixty percent from the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation and the remainder from the Cariboo Chilcotin Regional Hospital District, totals $167, 000.
The funds will be used to improve access to the waiting area for emergency room staff, and improving the triage area for more efficient patient care.
No time frame for the project has been announced as yet.
