Busy Morning for 100 Mile Fire Rescue

100 Mile House Fire rescue responded to two consecutive calls on the morning of February 8. At approximately 11 am, a fire broke out on a loader at the West Fraser Mill. The loader was fully involved when crews arrived and was quickly extinguished. Fire Rescue appreciated the quick call from mill staff to 911.

As they were finishing at the mill, Fire Rescue responded to a call of a woman trapped on her roof while shoveling snow. Crews quickly deployed a ladder and assisted the woman down. She was not injured and was in good spirits.

100 Mile Fire Rescue would like to remind the public to always carry a cellphone or have someone with you when going into situations where you may become stranded.
