It only happens once or twice each year but there was a fire at West Fraser mill in 100 Mile House early Wednesday.
Fire Chief Darrel Blades describes the scene:

Blades says the sprinkler helped a lot in keeping the fire under control. No one was injured and damage is limited to being electrical and water related. Blades says clean-up was well underway during the day Wednesday.
Blades says 15 members from 100 Mile Fire Department responded to the blaze and were done within a couple of hours.
He says the one or two trips they make each year to West Fraser compares to about six or seven to Ainsworth, simply because of the differences in the processes that take place at each mill.
