Williams Lake RCMP Investigate Armed Robbery at local bank

Williams Lake RCMP responded to an armed robbery Friday afternoon at 3:41 on Oliver Street at the CIBC Bank.

RCMP say the suspect entered the bank and produced a note demanding money. The suspect then motioned to his hip where apparently a gun was concealed. The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

No employees from CIBC were injured and the robbery remains under investigation.

The suspect, as seen in the above photo captured by bank surveillance system, is described as:
– Caucasian male;
– 25-35 years old;
– 5’6 to 5’8;
– 160 to 180 pounds;
– Last seen wearing a red wig, a denim vest over a dark jacket, beige pants and black running shoes.
