Over 60 people attended the 2 hour long CRD Wildfire Consultation meeting last night in 100 Mile House at the Community Hall.
The meeting started off with a presentation on this summers wildfire season followed by 6 separate small discussions, concluding with a question and answer session at the end.
Those 6 discussions included the process of orders and alerts, how communication was handled, the support people needed for recovery, questions about how the wildfire was fought, how permits and road blocks were handled and how the CRD went about the prevention process.
Tim Conrad, the facilitator for the meetings, says the end goal after all the information is collected and reports are done, is to improve the process of the operation and to fill the gaps in the recovery process.
Over 120 people attended the meeting on Monday in 108 Mile House.
The last meeting will be held tonight in Big Lake at the Community Hall.
