The province’s Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations has closed off all recreational sites and trails in the Cariboo Fire Centre.
Anyone currently on these sites, or in backcountry areas, are advised to leave as soon as possible as wildfires continue to threaten the region.

Danger ratings have grown from high to extreme in certain areas according to the BC Wildfire Service.
More restrictions are also being considered at this time if no one decides to stay out of the sites.
