Share-a-Bear Program once again in full swing

BC Liquor stores across the province are encouraging customers to give to those less fortunate this holiday season by participating in the 27th annual Share-A-Bear program.

Donna Barnett, MLA for the Cariboo-Chilcotin gives us some of the details.

“You can buy a bear for $12.50 and you choose one bear to take home while it’s twin is donated to a shelter, hospital, or worthwhile charity.”

Barnett says that local charities across the Cariboo include the RCMP detachments, hospitals, fire-halls, and food banks.

In 2015 more than 25,000 bears were donated across the province of BC.
