After just three and a half weeks, work on the parking lot at the Cariboo Memorial Complex in Williams Lake is nearing completion.
Jeff Paynton Director of Community Services for the City of Williams Lake says it shouldn’t take much longer and explains what still needs to be done.
“We’re hopeful it will be within the next five to seven days at the most. A lot of the small little details we have to take care of in terms of making sure the traffic flow can go through safely, getting rid of all the hazards, putting in no posts to keep people from driving in places they shouldn’t that type of thing, stop signs, parking signs”.
Paynton also said that they are a little bit ahead of schedule and on budget.
