two williams lake females missing

RCMP are asking for the public’s help in finding two missing Williams lake females.

On sunday night at 9:39 police were notified of a missing 16 year old Aboriginal female Amy Char.

Char was a passenger in her mother’s car and after a disagreement, she walked out of the vehicle near the intersection of Mountain House Road and Likely Road and walked off into the bush.

Williams Lake RCMP along with the Police Dog Service searched the area Char was last seen but was not located.

Search and Rescue has been called in to assist in the search efforts.

Char is described as Aboriginal with black shoulder length hair and was last seen wearing a grey sweat shirt, jeans and blue sneakers.

Also on sunday Williams Lake RCMP received a report of a missing Aboriginal female Taryne Justice Aphonse who was last seen wednesday September 21st near Boitanio Park.

Police have received several calls regarding sightings of Alphonse but when they arrive at the locations, Alphonse could not be located.

Alphonse is 20 years old, and last seen wearing a black and white winter jacket, grey spandex leggings and pink shoes.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of these missing females is asked to call the Williams Lake RCMP or crime stoppers.
