The Village of Clinton Post Office hosted a grand re-opening today showing off its updated facility which included a ribbon cutting ceremony and a celebratory cake cutting and BBQ.
Postmaster at the location since 2009, Marian Nelson says the office also unveiled a new cancel mark today.
“The cancellation stamp, where you cancel your postage when you mail your postage, ours today is a cowboy hat and so anything you bring in, personal mail, you can have a new cancellation stamp put on it.”
Nelson says the post office also features some new looks inside and out including a more user friendly counter, better product displays, an additional writing area, as well as improved access in the store for people with mobility issues.
This post office has been serving the community of Clinton since 1961.
