The Williams Lake Fire Department was called out this afternoon at 1:30 to attend to a logging truck that caught fire on the Dog Creek Road.
Deputy Chief for the Williams Lake Fire Department Rob Warnock explains what happened.
“A fellow was taking his truck home after work and he was making the corner onto Ottoman Drive from Dog Creek, something was wrong with the truck, he got out and looked underneath and it was flames underneath so he able to get a few things out of the cab and get out of harms way”.
Warnock said the truck will be written off and the incident is under investigation.
Traffic was delayed for about 45 minutes on Dog Creek Road.
