The Cariboo Chilcotin Regional Hospital District has adopted a bylaw to provide funding for the GR Baker Memorial hospital in Quesnel.
CRD Director and Chair of the CCRHD John Massier gives us the details.
“At our August board meeting Northern Health came to the Cariboo Chilcotin Regional Hospital District board to request $146,600 for upgrades to the ventilation system and boiler plant at GR Baker Hospital.”
Massier says the upgrades are meant for energy efficiency and expected to save the hospital almost $40,000 a year in total electricity and natural gas expenses.
The upgrades are expected to begin relatively soon.
