cariboo fire centre asks the public to be careful this weekend

With temperatures expected to be on the rise over the next few days, Fire Information Officer at the Cariboo Fire Centre Natasha Broznitsky has this reminder.

“We are expecting a warm weekend ahead so we are asking the public to careful when using fire and to be on the lookout for any wildfires, unattended campfires or burning violations and to call 1-888-663-5555 or star 5555 on their cell phone if they see anything”.

It takes very little time for fine forest fuels such as grass and small twigs to dry out and become more flammable in these conditions.

Something going on in the Cariboo you think people should know about?
