A very special event is planned tonight for race fans at Thunder Mountain Speedway.
Director Tim Westwick explains what that is.
“It’s our annual Christmas in July food and toy drive. It’s a pretty cool thing that all donations go to our local Salvation Army”.
And how did this Annual event get started?
“I believe that Marius and Lynn Dunford actually were the ones who started this and it’s been awesome. We even had Santa Claus show up there before.
Race fans are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy or non perishable food item to the track.
Qualifying for the Bone Stock Mini, Pro Mini and Street Stocks is at 5 with racing to follow at 6 at Thunder Mountain Speedway just west of Williams Lake.
