First responders were on the scene of an accident that occured this afternoon at 12:32 on the Likely Road.
Fire Chief of the 150 Mile House Fire Department, Stan McCarthy explains what happened.
“There was a lady pulling into the Transfer Station at the dump on the Likely road and she got rear ended by another vehicle and she was trapped inside the vehicle and search and rescue had to come and cut the doors and roof off to get her out but she seemed ok and transferred her to hospital, just one patient, and the person driving the other vehicle didn’t seem to be hurt”.
McCarthy says the highway was down to single lane traffic until it was re-opened at 2:30.
Staff Sargeant Del Byron of the Williams Lake RCMP says the accident is still under investigation.
