100 Mile House Fire Rescue has six new members.
The new recruits have successfully completed their training program and will now be able to respond to emergencies in a limited fashion.
Fire Chief Roger Hollander explains what this addition means to his department.
“It certainly helped us with our members as far as our roster is concerned. Right now we’re at almost 30 members for our hall but of course every year that we have new members join us there’s always due to various reasons, personal lives, work, moving outside the area, we tend to lose a few out the back door”.
The six new recruits will continue their training to reach the National Fire Protection Association professional firefighter qualifications and also other disciplines like rescue and medical courses.
