The 150 Mile Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle incident yesterday afternoon at 4:40 on Highway 97 south of Williams Lake on the Sugarcane Hill.
Fire Chief Stan McCarthy describes the scene.
“When we got there we had one young fella, young child, and a man in one pickup and a lady in another pickup. BC Ambulance transported them to hospital and Search and Rescue had to open up a couple of doors to get the people out but they weren’t really trapped they just had to force the doors open”.
McCarthy says the good team work from all agencies attending the scene enhanced patient care.
The 150 Mile Fire Department were assisted by Central Cariboo Search and Rescue, BC Ambulance and Williams Lake RCMP
The Highway was reopen at 6:30 and four occupants were sent to hospital.
The extent of their injuries are not known at this time.
