Sam Ketcham Pool Gets Aquatic Climbing Wall

The Sam Ketcham Pool in Williams Lake will now have an aquatic climbing wall.

Stacey Miranda, Manager of Recreation, says there’s been some interesting things that have happened over the last year which led to the decision to bring to in the wall.

“Our diving board no longer met the requirements to be here because of the way the tank was built the guidelines changed so we had to remove that and then we lost the wading pool and the steam room hot tub sauna and so we thought we need something fun.”

Miranda says they might possibly buy another panel for the wall bringing it up to 12 feet wide and 12 feet high for when the pool renovations are completed.

She says the permanent feature was being installed Friday night on the deep end and should be ready for use by this afternoon.
