Wranglers still in awe following 3 championship trophies and community parade

A big day yesterday for the Keystone Champions in 100 Mile House.

Wrangler Coach and GM Dale Hladun says yesterday’s hero’s welcome was pretty amazing.Wrangler Parade 1_0419_2016.jpgg

“15 days on the road and we got home about 10 o’clock at night and the RCMP met us out on the highway so we had two cruisers escort us into town to the rink. There was about 100ish people here cheering the kids. Then the next day the parade downtown and it was just packed-I’m thinking about 1,000 people and I just can’t get over the emotion of people.”

Hladun says he’s still in awe and it sure sunk in yesterday with what his team accomplished for 100 Mile and even the Cariboo.Wrangler Parade 2_0419_2016

The team was redoing some photos today as well as signing autographs, and say they’ll be visiting local schools with their 3 championship trophies.

“There’s no rest for the wicked. I’ve got training camp Friday,” Hladun adds.
