Home And 3 Outbuildings Lost To Fire In Quesnel

The Quesnel Volunteer Fire Department was on scene of a structure fire over the weekend.

Fire Chief Ron Richert said they were dispatched last night (April 27) at approximately six o’clock to Veneer Road.

“Upon arrival a residential home and multiple outbuildings were fully involved. Because the area is non-hydrant protected we called in Barlow Creek and Kersley Fire Departments for water tender support.”

Richert said the home and three outbuildings were completely destroyed.

“There were no injuries,” Richert noted, “as the residents were able to get out of the home and the cause of the fire is under investigation.”

The Quesnel Volunteer Fire Department responded with 18 firefighters and five trucks and were on scene until about 10 Sunday night.
