Proactive Police Foot Patrols In Boitanio Park In Williams Lake

Williams Lake RCMP continue their investigation into a reported assault that was to have occurred n Boitanio Park.

Police say they received a report of the incident between a 60-year-old man and a 37-year-old man Saturday (April 19th) at about 8:15 AM.

According to the RCMP, the older man suffered minor injuries in the altercation while the 37-year-old was arrested and released for court pending charge approval.

No further information is being released at this time as the investigation is ongoing.

Meanwhile, Mounties stated that they have responded to the public disorder in Boitanio Park with proactive foot patrols.

“Williams Lake RCMP have issued verbal warnings and liquor control and licensing act violation tickets to individuals found contravening the act.” 

RCMP asks if the public observes any suspicious activity to report it to the Williams Lake detachment.
