A fire has closed one of Quesnel’s popular pubs for now.
RCMP, Ambulance, and the Quesnel Fire Department were called to the Cariboo Hotel to put out a fire that started around midnight on April 1.
A spokesperson for the Fire Department says the fire originated in the kitchen, but had not spread beyond.
The spokesperson said the investigation is still ongoing; however, they ruled out suspicious causes.
There were no injuries in the fire.
The Cariboo Hotel remains closed until further notice. The Hotel says it will post an update on when it expects to reopen on its Facebook page.
