A vehicle rollover saw one of the occupants needed to be rescued by the Jaws of Life.
100 Mile House RCMP attended the scene of a single-vehicle rollover near Hickling Rd on Highway 97, on March 21.
Sergeant Brian Lamb says the vehicle was found “severely damaged on its roof” near a broken utility pole the vehicle is believed to have struck.
The driver and passenger were inside the vehicle when police arrived.
“The driver had to be extracted from the vehicle, but the passenger was able to escape,” says Sergeant Lamb. ” The driver [of the vehicle] was taken to hospital in Williams Lake for undetermined injuries. The passenger was taken to hospital in 100 Mile House for injuries that were believed to be minor.”
Police believe alcohol was a factor in the incident.
BC Hydro was called to the scene to repair the downed pole.
