A Williams Lake business is once again doing it’s part to show it’s support against bullying.
For the 5th year, Do-More Promotional is looking to paint the town pink tomorrow (February 26) with their unique Pink Shirt Day merchandise.
Owner Nancy Dron said they’ve almost matched what they produced last year and with time still left for people to come in and purchase their clothing she’s confident they’ll meet and even beat 2024’s total.
“We’ve had some returning customers which is really great we’ve also had some new designs this year which were pre-orders. Because of the response we got from those we decided to order a few extras of those prints and we actually do have a few of those left.”
Dron said they take orders right up until the day of Pink Shirt Day, even on that day if someone needs to come in and purchase their merchandise.
“We are still taking orders and we do have our standard designs that we do every year in addition to some of the pre-order ones left that we can do as well.”
Orders from these unique Pink Shirt Day merchandise doesn’t only raise awareness, it’s also a fundraiser for local youth Organizations.
“The money this year is going to the Boys and Girls Club of Williams Lake,” Dron said, “we rotate each year to which local charity we donate to. Last year Williams Lake Big Brothers and Big Sisters received $700. We get a really good response from people when they find out that the money raised stays local and this is the fifth year in a row that we’ve kept that money within Williams Lake and people really appreciate that.”
Dron said they’ve had some pretty decent sized orders for Pink Shirt Day merchandise from businesses, schools, and different companies around town and we thank everyone who has taken part in this annual awareness and fundraiser.
