A trio of snowmobilers are lucky to be alive after getting caught up in an avalanche over the weekend.
According to the Wells Gray Search and Rescue, crews were deployed in the Salmon Lake area near Blue River yesterday (Sunday).
Search and Rescue noted one of the people was partially buried to the shoulder level. Responding resoucres stated all three involved are now in the care of BC Emergency Health Services.
The avalanche danger rating at the time of the incident for the Prince George-Northern Rockies. Cariboo and Blue River areas were considerable.
