A male driver is in hot water after a crash in Lac La Hache.
RCMP were called to a single vehicle collision on Timothy Lake Rd on Feb. 9, involving a the vehicle in question had struck a utility pole.
RCMP detachment members and BC Highway Patrol found the driver uninjured. RCMP say he showed signs of impairment but refused to provide a breath sample.
The driver was charged with driving without consideration, no driver’s license, and having open liquor in the vehicle. He was also issued an immediate roadside prohibition from driving for 90 days, and police have impounded the vehicle for 30 days.
In addition, a small amount of a substance Police suspect to have been methamphetamine was found in the vehicle. The vehicle has been seized by police.
