Double Dodge Ram Truck Thefts in 100 Mile House

RCMP reported two separate Dodge Ram pickups were stolen in 100 Mile House before last weekend.

Sergeant Brian Lamb says RCMP received a report on January 28 that a green 1997 Dodge Ram was stolen from a property in the 6000 Block of Bergstrom Road.

Another Ram, a black 2017 was stolen from a pullout near Canim Hendrix Lake Road and Highway 97.

“There’s no link between these two [incidents],” says Lamb. “In this case, there’s quite a difference in technology and the vehicle. They’re not related based on any factors that are known to that make of truck, like locks and ignition.”

The Police are on the lookout for the two missing vehicles; so far, none have been located. Both vehicles were taken without any witnesses or security footage to capture the thefts.

“One was at a pullout where there’s not a lot of people around. The vehicle was left there for a couple of days. The other vehicle was located on a property that was not being used at that time, and they might have been crimes of opportunity because nobody was there.”

The green Ram’s license plate number is SB6168.

The black Ram’s plate number is RA4081.

If anyone has seen these vehicles recently, contact the 100 Mile House detachment.
