The Community Hall in Horsefly has issued a Boil Water Notice after traces of Coliform bacteria were detected.
The notice says the Community Hall washrooms were tested and found a “presence of bacteria” in the water system. However, samples tested from the kitchen came up negative for any presence or traces of bacteria.
The notice will be in effect for the following week until further testing can take place. An update will be provided following tests.
The Boil Water Notice asks residents to bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before drinking, cooking, making ice, washing food, brushing teeth, and feeding pets.
Horsefly Community Hall also urges residents to use hand sanitizer after washing hands and upon entering buildings and homes, as well as using alternative and safe sources of water until an update is provided.
