Williams Lake Fire Department Battled Structure Fire On Frizzi Road

The Williams Lake Fire Department were on scene of a structure fire at the Pal Lumber site on Frizzi Road.

Fire Chief Evan Dean said they responded last night at approximately 8:45 and upon arrival it was confirmed to be a travel trailer located on the property that was fully engulfed in flames.

Dean said the lone occupant escaped the blaze before call 9-1-1.

The Williams Lake Fire Department was on scene for approximately an hour and responded with 3 command vehicles, 2 large apparatus and 17 firefighters.

Dean said the cause of the fire is under investigation but preliminary reports suggest it may have been caused by a newly installed wood stove.

As winter weather has arrived, the Williams Lake Fire Department reminds residents to ensure that any heat sources are properly maintained and monitored when in use.
