The number of call outs for the Williams Lake Fire Department was down last month compared to November of 2023.
Deputy Fire Chief Cory Boyd said it was a fair bit slower responding to 23 calls for service.
“13 of them were kind of them were admin and officer pages which include CO Alarms, burning complaints and fire alarms. We had 6 MVI’s, motor vehicle incidents and 4 fires. There were no structure fires just small brush fires like wood.”
Boyd said said compared to November 2023 the Williams Lake Fire Department had 41 incidents they responded to.
“At the end of November we’re at 458 call outs which actually very close to our 2023 total which was 460. Even with those slow couple of months, October totalling 33, we’re still on pace to have 40 more calls for service than we had last year. I think we’re on pace for just over 500.”
