The Quesnel RCMP held its annual stuff the cruiser event in the Walmart Parking lot over the weekend.
Sergeant Clay Kronebusch says “local police officers along with several volunteers accepted donations on both Saturday and Sunday.
“This year the campaign raised $4,583 in cash and gift cards, 2,028 pounds of food, over 800 individual toys equalling 1.060 pounds and numerous personal hygiene and clothing donations.”
Kronebush says those items will go to support local food banks as well as Big Brothers and Big Sisters and the Seniors Voice Society.
He says they certainly didn’t do this alone.
“The Quesnel RCMP would like to thanks Walmart for the use of their lot, the staff and community volunteers that donated their time to help with the event as well as those who assisted with donations.”
Kronebusch says they would also like to thank Active Rent-All who not only donate the use of an enclosed trailer and equipment each year, but also provided a large donation of items to support the event.
