The South Cariboo Health Foundation had over 4-thousand reasons to smile recently.
From November 18th to 24 the Tim Horton’s location in 100 Mile House was taking part in the Canada wide Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign.
Owner Operator, Chad Lecompte, along with his wife Janice, said proceeds from this years sales were split between two charities.
“We raised a total of $8,962 in donations for the South Cariboo Health Foundation and the Tim Horton’s Children’s Camps. $4,481 was to given to each of those charities. We had lots of pre-orders that came in which helped in planning our cookie production and making sure that everyone got their Holiday sugar cookie with the smile on it.”
For most of the campaign, Lecompte noted the 100 Mile House Tim Horton’s was number one in the province.
“We sold just shy of 6-thousand cookies, however there were a few stores that had some big sales on the final weekend. We placed number one in our District and provincially we finished tenth. It was a great community effort and I thank everyone who helped decorate all the smiles on the cookies and pumping out the cookies in the ovens and we look forward to another successful campaign next year.”
