Update: Lumber Trailer Theft in 100 Mile

** UPDATE **

100 Mile House RCMP have released new security camera photos of the stolen lumber trucks being unloaded in the early morning of November 23.

Sgt. Brian Lamb says the RCMP has determined that the lumber from the trucks reported stolen from the Exeter Truck Route were unloaded at the Heritage Site Pullout at 108 Mile Ranch.

“A forklift was used to take the lumber off the stolen trailers and then loaded onto another tractor-trailer unit,” says Lamb. “This is believed to have occurred on November 22, between 11:20 PM to 12:00 AM.”

Lamb adds the investigation suggests the trailers may have been in the 105 Mile House area before being abandoned, and the lumber was covered in West Fraser wrapping.

“This incident would have taken some planning, this isn’t just a one-off,” says Lamb. “This is something that’s probably likely been pre-planned out… I’m not aware of any previous lumber theft of this magnitude.”

100 Mile RCMP have requested anyone with dash camera footage between the hours of 11:20 PM and midnight, or anyone who observed and saw anything suspicious in the 108 to 100 Mile areas on the night of November 22 and 23, to call the detachment.
