A familiar name and face will once again be the MLA for the Cariboo-Chilcotin Riding.
BC Conservative MLA Lorne Doerkson has been re-elected to represent the riding in Victoria.
Doerkson at the time of this posting, had 12,719 votes or 69 percent to NDP candidates Michael Moses’s 5,427 or 30 percent of the votes.

The numbers are starting to come in for the Cariboo-Chilcotin Riding
Incumbent MLA Lorne Doerkson of the Conservative Party so far has 11,460 votes to BC NDP candidate Michael Moses’s 4,875.
**Original Story**
The Polls are closed and the counting of votes has begun in the 2024 Provincial election.
In the Cariboo-Chilcotin riding there are two candidates running: incumbent MLA Lorne Doerkson of the BC Conservative Party and Michael Moses with the BC NDP.
Doerkson was elected MLA in 2020 while with BC United winning just over 51 percent of the vote.
This is the first time running for Moses.
