Voters in Quesnel and Williams Lake won’t have to pay for transit on Election Day.
BC Transit is partnering with over twenty municipalities to help voters get to the polls on provincial election on Saturday, October 19th. This free service will also include HandyDART for the day.
“Offering free transit helps make it easier for residents to get to polls and cast their ballots. Decisions to offer free transit are made by local governments partners in each separate community.” BC Transit provided on Wednesday.
BC Transit did warn that in some areas, there may be minor adjustments to the local routes to get voters to the polling stations.
