The 100 Mile House Wranglers won both of their games on home ice in the KIJHL over the weekend.
Starting off on Friday night, the Wranglers got by the Kelowna Chiefs 3-2.
Brodie Gohman’s empty netter to make it 3-1 proved to be the game winner as the Chiefs scored one late to make it close.
Ivan Tolsma was solid in goal stopping 31 of 33 shots.
100 Mile also cruised to a 6-3 win over the Nelson Leafs on Sunday.
Ethan Davey had a pair of goals in the first period to give the Wranglers a 3-1 lead, it was 6-2 after two.
Mathew Balderston had a solid game as well with a goal and two assists.
The Quesnel River Rush came up empty in a pair of home games at the West Fraser Centre over the weekend.
They dropped a 5-1 decision to a very strong Grand Forks Border Bruins team on Friday night.
The visitors controlled this one from start to finish outshooting Quesnel 43 to 14.
Newcomer Evan Murray, a defenceman, scored the only goal for the River Rush on the power play.
Quesnel was much better on Saturday night but came up short in a 6-5 loss to Nelson.
The River Rush led 2-0 after one but were outscored 6-1 in the second period to fall behind 6-3.
The Leafs scored five straight goals in the middle frame.
Quesnel scored two late in the third but ran out of time.

And the Williams Lake Mustangs also suffered a pair of losses on home ice over the Thanksgiving weekend.
They fell behind 3-0 to visiting Nelson on Friday night and battled back twice to make it close.
The Mustangs made it 3-2 early in the third on a goal by Asher Lucas, and he scored again to make it 4-3 until the Leafs scored an empty net goal to make the final 5-3.
The Mustangs, like Quesnel a night earlier, were outclassed by Grand Forks on Saturday night.
The final score was 7-1, although it was close early on.
It was just 1-0 after one and 1-1 until midway through the second but the Border Bruins outshot Williams Lake 51-30 overall and 28-4 in the third period.
Taking a look at the standings in the Doug Birks Division, the Wranglers are now tied for top spot with Chase with 11 points, although the Heat do have a few games in hand.
100 Mile is 5-4 and 1 overall.
The Mustangs are 4th at 2-4 and 1, a point up on the River Rush who are 2 and 5 early in the season.
