Boil Water Notice In Effect For Lexington Water System Users

The Cariboo Regional District issued a boil water notice to Lexington Water System users due to recent reservoir cleaning.

The District says it will remain in effect until water quality testing is completed.

Users are being asked to bring water to a rolling boil for a minimum of one minute before using from the system for:

Drinking (or use an alternate, safe source of water)

Cooking (if not boiled)

Brushing teeth and washing dishes.

Washing fruits or vegetables to be eaten raw.

Watering animals.

Also please use hand sanitizer after washing hands.

The system is located east of Williams Lake on Highway 97, near the Coyote Rock development serving homes on Lexington Road, Bellevue Road, and Panorama Drive.

The Cariboo Regional District’s water systems are tested regularly to ensure they meet public health regulations.
