Williams Lake City Council passes free transit service during provincial election

Williams Lake residents will have access to free transport once general voting day begins.

City Council approved the recommendation during last night’s meeting in an effort to assist voter turnout.

In a report from City staff, this is in line with previous elections for municipal, provincial and federal.

The free transit service would include both conventional and HandyDART buses.

General voting day for the provincial election is set for October 19th.
